The shoulders are subtly padded, while the inner edge is trimmed with velvet, a detail echoed by the double-breasted closure and its velvet-covered buttons.
The waist is more defined, creating a graceful flared effect towards the lower part of the coat and giving the silhouette an almost skirt-like appearance.
